Julia’s First Christmas

Nana and Papa drove down from up north on Sat. evening. Christmas Eve was a busy day, we first headed up to Woodland Hills to visit the Butterfield’s for a quick hello, then it was over to Jackie & Mike’s house in Rialto for Christmas eve festivities with all the family. A delicious dinner and then evening mass and back home for PRESENTS!! Lots of presents!

Monday, Christmas day, was a quieter day. We woke up to a living room FULL of presents, (Santa must have thought we were extra good this year) After a full morning of opening gifts, including intermission, it was off for a walk on the beach. The afternoon followed with appetizers and drinks in the hot tub, a delicious surf & turf dinner, and we ended the evening with a harbour cruise on the boat to see all the decorated houses. What a wonderful Christmas weekend with family!

All I want for Christmas is my 4 front teeth?

We have teeth! Julia’s first tooth popped out on her 5-month birthday (10/3) and was quickly followed by her second tooth a week later. Both were on the bottom. Then in December it seemed like we got a new tooth each week, ending with her 6th tooth on Christmas day. A mouthful to say the least and we feel those back molars coming in any day now too!

Visiting Santa

Sunday we took Julia to see Santa. She was pretty impressed by the beard and couldn’t take her eyes off it. This was the one picture where we were able to get her attention long enough to take a picture. I think she said something about wanting a pony and Santa just laughed.
